Having my own small shop has really opened my eyes to the importance of supporting small and local businesses. I am not going to lie, we have a tight budget so a sale going on at Target, Walmart, etc. can really be my best friend! But when I have the choice of spending $20 on a mass produced item or $20 or even $30 on an item from a small shop I am defiantly going to choose the small shop option. Not only am I getting an item that is way more unique and handmade by someone who cares, but I know that the money I spend is going strait to the creator and someone who appreciates it. Trust me, every time I make a sale it makes me extremely excited and happy to have made something special for someone.
Anyhow! I thought I would start to share some of my favorite small shops here. I'll share pictures and give my personal opinions on both the products and the customer service. Because lets be honest, there are some amazing and some not so amazing shops out there, as much as we all want them all to be great. lol
I thought I'd start off with one of my favorites! Sheady Baby and Co.
I found Shea (The owner and creator) on Instagram through a brand rep search she was having. She sent me a few different items that very quickly turned into my favorite items in Claire's wardrobe.
After a while of being a rep for Sheady Baby I got to create some really fun designs in their shop! The following designs are ones that Shea and I have worked on.
All of the items you receive from Sheady Baby are awesome, all made with a lot of creativity and care. Defiantly will always be a favorite!
Check out their shop, which is full of wonderful, unique items and follow on FB and IG.
